If you are up around Gatlinburg, Tennessee and you want to see the Great Smoky Mountains, you definitely need to check out Ober Gatlinburg. You board a Cable Car in Gatlinburg that takes you up into the Smoky Mountains. The views from the cable car are breathtaking as you cross over deep valleys on your way up to the top.

Once you reach the top there are many things there to do. Aside from Skiing and Snowboarding there are amusement rides and an arcade. There is also an indoor Ice Skating Rink if you are into ice skating. There are many fun activities for the kids. There is a shooting range, a velcro wall jump, water rides and many other things.You can also take a ride on the South’s longest Chair Lift. That’s my favorite, I go for the views. If the views from the cable car isn’t enough for you then the sky lift offers some excellent views.

Ober Gatlinburg is truly one of the fine places that you can go and take your family and really make a day out of it. There is fun for the whole family. You can park right in downtown Gatlinburg and jump on the cable car. Welcome, living in eastern Tennessee most of my life I have traveled around and visited a lot of great places. I want this blog to be a place where I can share some of the great places that I have found. There is a lot of things to see and do in the eastern half of Tennessee alone. Whether you are up in the Great Smoky Mountains or enjoying one of the many Lakes and Streams there is something for everyone. I want the purpose of this site to give reviews of some of the places that I have visited so that you can plan a vacation for yourself and visit one of these many places. Who knows maybe I can point you in the right direction for a great Vacation Spot. Even after living here all of these years I still travel to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge many times throughout the year. I remember when these places were just a pull of on the side of the road.
